Damon Outlaw Versus ShowHauler — Key Tips For Picking Your RV

RVs or recreational vehicles have come a long way since the era of cramped, uncomfortable, and inadequate mobile living spaces. Today, the road traveler, who simply prefers to stay out of roadside hotels or will not settle for small rental cars, can now have the same sort of comfort that their homes can provide with the sheer convenience that vans can offer from modern, luxury RVs like motorhomes.

RV makers are pushing the boundaries when it comes to features and finishes, turning mobile accommodations into luxury on the road and rivaling even the best of hotels you can find. You can use, for instance, the 37-foot long Damon Outlaw 3611, for vacation, traveling through the country; for temporary living space, if your home is under renovation, or as accommodations if you’re on a racing team. Whatever you use the RV for, make sure to choose the right one.

Determine your budget. Knowing how much you’re able to spend on an RV will narrow down your choices. If money’s tight, you might consider looking at pre-owned Outlaws. If you can spend a bit more, you might want to look at your options for custom built Showhaulers. Once you have a budget to work with, it will be a lot easier to go over the features you might need.

Consider your needs on the road. So who’ll be with you while you’re en route to somewhere spectacular? The family? Just the kids? Just you and the spouse? Your friends? If the family loves to cook and eat a lot, you’ll want your RV to be fitted with a great kitchen complete with multi-burner range, microwave oven, stainless steel refrigerator, and a spacious dinette. If entertainment is a huge requirement, then pick an RV with comfortable reclining couches and a home theater system.

Other concerns would be sleeping arrangements, storage, and overall space.

Customize what you cannot find from other RVs. If you need more specific features, for example, a garage big enough for your dirt bikes or snowmobile, you can get a custom built Showhauler, like a motorhome with garage. This beast of a motorhome can feature all the interior requirements you need (e.g., plush carpeting, sofa sleeper, dinette, oak doors and cabinets, etc.) and the extra hauling space you want for your favorite toys. You can also get a Class A motorhome Outlaw, which has a loft with sleeping space for two over a garage.

Lastly, make sure to take your RV out for a test drive with whomever you’ll be traveling with because it would not make sense to invest in a fully fitted motorhome that isn’t comfortable or that doesn’t handle well on the road.

Performance RV offers both!  Give us a call and we’d be glad to discuss which one would be best for you.  From used to brand new fully customized and wrapped in whatever custom graphics you can dream up!

RV Rentals Make Road Trips More Convenient For Families

Most people love a well-planned road trip, but even those trips can present some issues — especially if you’re traveling with little kids who not only keep on asking “Are we there yet?” but also inform you about every half-hour that they need to go pee-pee. If you’re the adult/parent, it’s can be a pain to constantly try to find the next gas station or rest stop but once you get there, everybody’s all relieved — not only because the kids can finally “go,” but also because they can get to stretch their limbs.

These are common issues if you’re taking a road trip via car or van but if you’re using an RV, these discomforts can easily be addressed. What’s more, you wouldn’t have to keep on making stops at restrooms and gas stations as often, which then means that you can get to your destinations so much faster.

Great idea, right? The problem is, you don’t have an RV.

What?

This is the age where practically everything can be rented! There are RV rentals all over the country and you can choose from the most basic RVs, to the super luxurious models similar to what touring concert artists use. Base your decision on your budget and the level of comfort that you wish to provide your family, the length of time that you all will be on the road, and your destinations.

RVs for rent are actually already quite a common solution for people who want to travel on a budget. They pretty much get the experience they want — they get to see the sights, but without spending too much money on certain forms of transportation, dining, and overpriced overnight accommodations. You can easily take your bicycles (which you or your family members can use to travel short distances) with you for there’s a compartment to store them. Bring a large stash of food supplies so you would not have to keep on buying from the convenience stores at rest stops or go to restaurants for meals. Basically, you get most of the comforts of “being home” while you are coursing through one city after another.

Using an RV for a road trip can really turn the journey into an entirely different experience. So if you’re considering such a trip for your family over the holidays, and you have comfort and economy in mind, consider renting this great vehicle instead of packing everybody in the car and traveling like canned sardines.
